How to calculate the relationship between the size of the injection molded product and the molding cavity?


In order to ensure that the structure of the injection molded product reaches the required size, considering the influence of the shrinkage of the injection molded product on its size, the cavity size of the molded product must be slightly larger than the actual size of the product when the mold is designed . How larger is more suitable, which can be calculated according to the following formula:

A = B ×（1 + S） 
A——The linear dimension of the mold cavity at room temperature, mm;
B——The linear size of the product at room temperature, mm;
S——Shrinkage of different raw materials (see table below).
